Custom Climbing Walls & Adventure Parks for Hotels, Resorts and Public Spaces | Citywall
Tourism and leisure destinations today need more than a good location. Guests increasingly look for activities, memorable experiences and active entertainment.
At Citywall, we design and manufacture custom climbing and adventure solutions – from indoor and outdoor climbing walls, adventure parks and rope courses to children’s climbing walls, interactive Fun Walls, self-standing and mobile climbing towers, and larger sports and family entertainment centres.
Every project is tailored to the available space, target users and the client’s vision.

Custom Indoor and Outdoor Climbing Walls
A custom climbing wall makes efficient use of the available space and can be integrated into both new-build developments and existing buildings.
Depending on the project, the solution can include an indoor climbing wall, outdoor climbing wall, children’s climbing wall, interactive climbing wall, bouldering wall, or a combination of climbing and adventure elements.
Citywall climbing solutions are suitable for:
- hotels, resorts, campsites, glamping resorts and tourism complexes,
- adventure parks and amusement parks,
- climbing gyms, sports centres, recreation centres and multi-purpose facilities,
- ski resorts and mountain destinations,
- shopping malls and family entertainment centres,
- schools and educational facilities,
- public parks, municipal recreation areas and other tourism destinations.
Adventure Parks and Rope Courses
Citywall designs adventure parks and rope courses that can combine climbing walls, rope obstacles, bridges, climbing towers and other adventure elements into one integrated concept.
A rope course can operate as a stand-alone visitor attraction or become part of a larger hotel, resort, sports or entertainment complex.
Combining climbing and adventure activities makes it possible to create an attraction for a broader range of visitors rather than only experienced climbers.

Children’s Climbing Walls and Themed Play Areas
The design of a children’s climbing wall can be adapted to the visual identity and theme of the project – from marine, forest or space themes to a completely custom concept developed for the client.
Citywall also produces themed wooden Fun Holds made from recycled wood and designed for long-term use.
These solutions are particularly suitable for family hotels, resorts, campsites, schools, shopping centres, family entertainment centres, public recreation areas and tourist attractions looking to add active play to their existing offer.

Repurposing Existing Buildings into Climbing and Entertainment Centres
Developing a new sports or tourism attraction does not always require constructing a new building.
Citywall has experience in the adaptive reuse and conversion of existing and architecturally sensitive buildings into climbing centres and active entertainment facilities.
For these projects, the climbing solution is adapted to the existing structure and architectural character of the building. Self-supporting climbing structures can also be used to minimise intervention in the original building.
Citywall references include Gravity Fun in Belgium, developed inside a former monastery; the former Hôtel-Dieu hospital in Rennes; the Saint-Antoine de Padoue church in Belgium; and former wine cellars in Berlin, all of which were given a new function as climbing or sports and entertainment spaces.
This approach is particularly relevant for property developers, investors, architects, municipalities, public authorities, construction companies, real estate owners and tourism developers looking to give an existing building a new commercial, recreational or public function.

Mobile Climbing Tower for Events and Tourism Destinations
The Citywall Mobile Climbing Tower is a trailer-mounted climbing wall that can be transported between different locations.
It is suitable for festivals, fairs, sporting events, corporate events, tourism events, resorts, municipalities, schools, climbing centres and promotional activities.
Its main advantage is flexibility. In transport mode, the climbing tower is moved as a trailer. At the destination, a hydraulic system raises it into the climbing position.
The tower is 7.2 metres high, provides approximately 36 m² of climbing surface and four climbing lines, and includes 100 climbing holds, three belay points and a battery-powered hydraulic system.
Because the climbing tower is not permanently tied to one location, it can also be used as a mobile sports attraction for hire, seasonal programmes, festivals, community events and promotional activities.

Self-Standing Climbing Tower for Outdoor Areas
A self-standing climbing tower is an outdoor climbing attraction that does not require an existing building or load-bearing wall.
The height, footprint, climbing surface and level of difficulty can be adapted to the specific project and target users.
Climbing is possible on all four sides of the tower, while one side can also be used as an advertising or branding surface. The tower can additionally be combined with other adventure activities, including a zip line or rappelling.
A self-standing climbing tower is therefore a practical solution for hotels, resorts, campsites, adventure parks, ski resorts, public parks, sports centres and tourism destinations looking for a visible outdoor attraction.
3D Modular Climbing Panels
3D modular climbing panels make it possible to create indoor and outdoor climbing walls with the appearance and morphology of natural rock.
The modular system can be used to create slabs, overhangs, edges and other three-dimensional climbing features. Different modules and surface morphologies can be combined according to the technical and design requirements of each project.
The panels are manufactured from glass-fibre-reinforced polyester, are suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and can also be installed onto an existing wall.
This makes modular climbing panels particularly useful for renovation projects, schools, sports facilities, tourism destinations and existing recreational buildings where a new climbing activity needs to be added without developing an entirely new facility.

Timber Climbing Structures
Where suitable for the project, Citywall also uses timber supporting structures and wooden climbing surfaces.
The Høyt Under Taket projects in Norway are examples where timber construction forms an important part of both the structural concept and architectural character of the climbing centre.
For architects, developers and investors, timber can also become an integral part of the overall design rather than simply a hidden supporting structure.

From Concept and Engineering to Manufacturing and Installation
Citywall can support a project from the initial concept through to final implementation:
concept development → design and engineering → manufacturing → logistics → installation → testing
Each solution is developed according to the available space, project purpose and target users.
This allows us to deliver anything from an individual climbing element to a complete climbing centre, adventure park, family entertainment centre or multi-activity sports and leisure facility.
Whether you are planning a hotel, resort, campsite, school, sports centre, ski resort, adventure park, shopping centre, public recreation facility or the renovation of an existing building, Citywall can develop a climbing and adventure solution tailored to the project.
